Celyn Villa bed and breakfast in Carmel, just 2 miles from Holywell, Flintshire, North Wales. However some people still use the old name of ‘Clwyd’ for the county which can be very confusing for visitors.  But there will be a warm welcome, however you found us!

We have three rooms available. Two doubles and a twin (which can be configured as a Queen if booked direct). We also have an extra single bed we can put into our Rose Room for an extra adult.  All have sea views and are tastefully decorated and furnished to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.   Located in a quiet village in North East Wales but with easy access to the A55, Celyn Villa is a great base for exploring North Wales including historic Conwy, Llandudno and Snowdonia,  sunny Prestatyn as well as medieval Chester, historic Liverpool or why not visit many of the attractions or castles in Flintshire (Clwyd) . Our nearest railway station is Flint with direct Virgin Line Trains to London Euston in 2.5 hours.  Nearest airports are Liverpool and Manchester, both under an hour away.

Holywell is famous for St Winefriedes Well where pilgrims have been visiting since the 7th century and we are also close to Pantasaph Friary.  We are a great overnight stop if you are walking  the Wales Coastal Path. or travelling to Ireland by ferry. The market town of Mold as are the beautiful Clwydian Range with Moel Famu at its summit.

The ‘Celyn Breakfast’ is prepared using locally sourced ingredients where possible including lovely freshly laid eggs and gold medal winning Welsh sausages. If  its just poached eggs on our home made toast that you prefer that’s fine too. Vegetarian and restricted diet options if required, with notice please. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements like gluten or dairy free.

There are several pubs offering good food, we will be happy to recommend places to eat locally.
