Based in Carmel, just two miles from Holywell, Celyn Villa was built around 1855 and has been the Vicarage (Manse) to the local chapel and the village post office. Its main claim to fame is that the aunt of Emlyn Williams (Welsh dramatist and actor 1905-1987) ran the Post Office during the 1930’s and it is said that he was a regular visitor.

All our comfortable bedrooms have sea views and are tastefully decorated and furnished to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.  We were recently shortlisted for ‘best place to stay in Flintshire’. Located in a quiet village in North East Wales but with easy access to the A55, Celyn Villa is a great base for exploring North Wales including historic Conwy, Llandudno and Snowdonia,  sunny Prestatyn as well as medieval Chester, historic Liverpool or why not visit many of the attractions in Flintshire .

Also a great overnight stop if you are walking  the Wales Coastal Path. or travelling to Ireland by ferry.
